![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It’s going to take work, but we’re confident in our guild’s drive, their abilities, and their commitment to excellence. Our goals for the guild are twofold: to be competitive and contend for World First, and to create content that showcases our guild’s progress and gives back to the WoW community. Each one of our guild members has also committed to upholding our code of conduct as they represent the Method black-and-orange in competitive play, in content, and in their personal brands. This included interviews, criminal background checks, public social media checks, and anti-harassment and anti-discrimination training. Ultimately, we selected nearly half of the new Method guild from our community applicants, and we filled out the remaining half with members from Reason’s core lineup, a guild that’s been together since the first major raid in WoW Classic (Molten Core) and has shown great momentum during recent raiding tiers while slowly increasing their raiding hours, making them a strong fit for Method.Įach one of our guild members has gone through a rigorous screening process that is now standard at Method. Over the last five weeks, we’ve reviewed every single Road to World First application and scouted the top guilds and leaders, past and present, to make sure we were tapping into the best talent possible. Setting their eyes on beating other North American guilds, while also improving their own world rankings, they took their first NA 1, World 7th rank in Hellfire Citadel, tackling Mythic Archimonde and sealing their fate as a force to be reckoned with. The active combat and frequent world events make every play session a dramatic event and theres hardly a dull moment even today. Liquid, formerly Complexity-Limit, was founded in early 2015 from top raiding guilds across North America. We were extremely humbled to receive hundreds of applications from community members who wanted to join our guild, represent Method and compete at the highest level in the world. Guild Wars 2 hasnt changed to the same degree as World of Warcraft, but its unmistakable just how much more fun to play it can be for those who are tired of the standard MMO formula. We started by launching our Road to World First project and opening up applications for talented, driven raiders who wanted to be part of the new Method guild. Five weeks later, we’re proud to say that Method is back and ready to take the next step on the Road to World First. To rebuild our guild, we focused on recruiting members that not only demonstrate unmatched competitive drive but those who are also committed to living our values, both on stream and in real life. As with every step we take with our rebuild, we’re doing everything we can to make sure we get it right. The guild is the cornerstone of our fifteen year legacy, and it will remain core to who we are for years to come. Ever since Method announced our organisation’s rebuild in early October, we’ve been hard at work rebuilding our World of Warcraft guild too. ![]() 5/2/2023 0 Comments Little snitch windows![]() When hackers are successful, developers then introduce a fix that remains in place until hackers find a new way to skirt the protection.Little Snitch 1.2.2 is a valuable application that picks up where Mac OS X’s built-in firewall leaves off. As soon as developers devise a new way to protect users, hackers look for ways to get around it. Still, the discovery underscores the cat-and-mouse game that plays out almost endlessly between hackers and developers. They say there's no bypass because the EXE's main delivery mechanism is a standard machO binary that Gatekeeper inspects and will block if it's unsigned or has a revoked certificate. Patrick Wardle, a macOS security expert and chief research officer at Digita Security, agreed. While the Trend Micro researchers specifically mentioned Gatekeeper as one of the protections the EXE may be designed to bypass, Thomas Reed, director of Mac offerings at Malwarebytes, said definitively that there's no such bypass taking place. It then downloaded and installed various adware apps, some of which were disguised as legitimate versions of Little Snitch and Adobe’s Flash Media Player. The Little Snitch installer the researchers analyzed collected a wealth of system details about the infected computer, including its unique ID, model name, and the apps installed. As for the native library differences between Windows and MacOS, mono framework supports DLL mapping to support Windows-only dependencies to their MacOS counterparts. In this case, however, the bundling of the files with the said framework becomes a workaround to bypass the systems given EXE is not a recognized binary executable by MacOS’ security features. ![]() Normally, a mono framework installed in the system is required to compile or load executables and libraries. ![]() AdvertisementĬurrently, running EXE on other platforms may have a bigger impact on non-Windows systems such as MacOS. Interestingly, the researchers couldn’t get the same EXE to run on Windows. ![]() It also provided the DLL mapping and other support required for the hidden EXE to execute and install the hidden payload. Mono allows Windows executables to run on MacOS, Android, and a variety of other operating systems. The booby-trapped Little Snitch installer worked around this limitation by bundling the EXE file with a free framework known as Mono. “We think that the cybercriminals are still studying the development and opportunities from this malware bundled in apps and available in torrent sites, and therefore we will continue investigating how cybercriminals can use this information and routine.”īy default, EXE files won’t run on a Mac. “We suspect that this specific malware can be used as an evasion technique for other attack or infection attempts to bypass some built-in safeguards such as digital certification checks, since it is an unsupported binary executable in Mac systems by design,” Trend Micro researchers Don Ladores and Luis Magisa wrote. EXE files don’t undergo this verification, because Gatekeeper only inspects native macOS files. The researchers suspect the routine is designed to bypass Gatekeeper, a security feature built into macOS that requires apps to be code-signed before they can be installed. ![]() Stashed inside the DMG file was an EXE file that delivered a hidden payload. Trend MicroResearchers from antivirus provider Trend Micro made that discovery after analyzing an app available on a Torrent site that promised to install Little Snitch, a firewall application for macOS. ![]() 5/2/2023 0 Comments Sean bean films![]() ![]() He worked for his father's welding firm before he decided to become an actor. Bean was born in Handsworth, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, to Rita (Tuckwood) and Brian Bean. Sharpe was so rugged you could put him in front of a fireplace and wrestle on him. ![]() Cast after Paul McGann had to drop out (having broken his leg while filming), Bean’s impact in the role was such that Cornwell retconned Sharpe’s backstory to include time in Yorkshire. Sean Bean is five foot ten, has blond hair and is from Sheffield. Richard Sharpe is described in Bernard Cornwell’s books as being a six foot tall Londoner with long black hair. Sure, loads of folk love the Pertwee, but everyone remembers Tom Baker. In Doctor Who terms – really, the best way to make any analogy – Boromir is Jon Pertwee to Aragorn’s Tom Baker. It also can’t go without saying that Boromir is hardcore, having done frankly ludicrous work in defending Gondor from the forces of Mordor, getting in some 300 style defensive measures with only three other soldiers for company, and making his way to the Council of Elrond despite losing his horse. There’s probably a really dark edit of Spider-man to be made by splicing in footage from Red Riding. ‘It was so bleak and dark that we kind of laughed hysterically in the bar afterwards to release that tension’. Den of Geek scribe and all-round person Duncan Bowles’ paean to Baean sees our hero transcribing Sean’s words: Corruption and crime in period Yorkshire made for some staggering television, with a cast so good it was bordering on cheating.īean plays John Dawson, a businessman whose activities kickstart the trilogy in 1974, in a role that saw him pitted against Andrew Garfield’s reporter. A number of films that show his range slip under the radar, though this one certainly got noticed.īean plays Simon Gaskell, a bored English teacher by day, by night the confident and brash Tracie Tremarco. He has a reputation – not just for death – but for villainy, action films, and casting him as a nobleman is shorthand for ‘dignified but conflicted’. Remember that thing about Sean Bean being fearless? If not, please consult a doctor. Basically no one would have minded if Trevelyan had won. ![]() * ‘Bonking’ is a term for sexual intercourse used only in the Nineties that appears to derive from the notion of two objects colliding, rather than the comedy sound effect so beloved of programmes such as Bodger and Badger, Jigsaw, and Jonathan Meades’ tvSSFBM EHKL.īean played Alec Trevelyan, who in turn played Bond by faking his own death and forming a big ol’ crime syndicate. Lady Chatterley has the advantage, however, of seeing Bean running naked through the forest while saying ‘HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH’ in a way that isn’t totally sinister. Scandalous.įans of seeing all of the outside of Sean Bean were well served in his early career. Incidentally, does anyone else remember two actors from The Bill appearing on Live and Kicking? And yet, they never had anyone from Taggart on Fully Booked. Bean played Horace Clark, an unrepentantly violent young man (possibly reacting against being called ‘Horace’ but not being from the 1940s) and the first of many screen villains. Narrowly edging genre classic When Saturday Comes from the top ten (assuming said genre is ‘Films involving Sheffield United that aren’t brilliant’), way back in 1984 before this humblebragging scribe was even born, Sean Bean was appearing as a moving image on our screens in the new police drama that was taking the country by storm. As ever with these things, feel free to get needlessly angry that someone has a different opinion to yours, as if either of our thoughts matter in any actual way. Of course, he’ll also live forever in the way they mean it after the awards ceremony’s ‘Those We Lost This Year’ montage: through his work. What people don’t know is that Sean Bean is using his screen deaths in much the same way that an Emperor takes tiny quantities of arsenic, hoping to build up an immunity and thus live forever. Everyone knows, though, that Sean Bean dies. ![]() 5/2/2023 0 Comments Flickr gallery wordpress![]() ![]() Meks Simple Flickr Widget can display Flickr photos quickly inside the WordPress widget without any authorization. The Color TV Game Series were only for sale in Japan. Nintendo, the company which eventually became a major player in the video gaming industry for the next three decades, delivered their first series of video game console from 1977 to 1979. New companies such as Fairchild, RCA and Coleco also jumped on the bandwagon, creating consoles of their own to grab a piece of the pie. Unsurprisingly, Atari came up with new consoles such as the highly-acclaimed Atari 2600, Video Pinball and Stunt Cycle to compete with Magnavox. The consoles basically had the same games within, but with some modification to the graphics, controllers and digital on-screen scoring. There were only six simple games for the console, namely ping-pong, tennis, handball, volleyball, chase games and a light-gun game.
